About Young Global Health Reps
Currently on Hiatus: Young Global Health Reps (YGHR) is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to improving adolescent health and empowering the next generation of global health leaders. Founded by Tajkera Afifa at Upper Darby High School as the Young Adolescent Medicine (YAM) Club, YGHR has since grown into a global initiative with over 100 members from 10+ countries and 20+ U.S. states. We aim to raise awareness about critical health disparities, advocate for public health, and inspire youth-led action through educational webinars, community initiatives, and social media campaigns. Our organization provides youth with the tools to connect, learn, and lead in the global health field, fostering a future of health equity and positive change
