Youth Empowerment Consortium is an organization which promote youth participation in governance and socioeconomic development through the creation of a Model Parliament, a Model Cabinet, and other platforms for policy engagements. We are about policy and not Politics. YEC is registered in Ghana as YEC Group Initiatives and have its Head Office at East Legon in Accra. Within our youth Model parliament, cabinet and Diplomats programs are youth leaders, Community Development Agents, Ministers, Ambassadors and Entrepreneurs of age 18-40 who represent their communities constituencies, and other special interest. They move motions for debates and highlight the concerns and challenges of young people of issues such as Youth Employment, National development policies, Political party Manifestos , state of the economy, Youth contribution to Economic growth, challenges in their communities and etc. Benefits and what you can expect from the Program and the organization. 1). To undertake projects, seminars and initiatives. aimed at mentoring and developing the Leadership skill of all members. 2.) We place high value on each member as a potential leader for the future.
