YOCHO is a German-Colombian brand that brings the glamour and joie de vivre of Colombian design to Germany and Europe.
My name is Kathrin and I founded YOCHO in 2020 in Berlin. I have been working in the art, culture and design industry for more than 15 years. My brother lives in Bogotá with his family, so I travel to Colombia regularly. I have grown very fond of the country and its people. From my visits I have always brought back special jewelry, which I am regularly asked about. This is how the idea for YOCHO was born.
YOCHO combines my passion for jewelry and accessories and my eye for the extraordinary with my love for the South American country.
I decided to start with a small selection of pieces from renowned Colombian brands Bamboleira, LaSierra, Mishky and Tina Botero. These brands work with indigenous and artisan communities who handcraft each piece.
In the future, YOCHO will offer other products ranging from jewelry to bags to fashion items. With my partners in Colombia I am also working on a custom designed and sustainably produced accessories collection that supports local craftsmanship in Colombia.
