YOUng Steps Kenya is an NGO born out of a common initiative between Romanian professionals and local representatives of the Madago Primary School in Kwale, Kenya. The school hosts over 600 learners (counting also pre-primary classes) and 12 teachers. 133 learners of Madago School qualify as needy learners. The aim of YOUng Steps Kenya is to support the school, in order to enhance the quality of the learning and teaching experience, and of the conditions. Since the school faces a series of challenges, such as lack of electricity in all classrooms, limited water supply, need of renovation of all school buildings, need of a computer laboratory, building a perimeter wall, building standard toilets, equipping all classrooms with desks, replacing windows and grids etc., we have created 5 programs: Computer Laboratory – aimed at enhancing computer literacy – a must-have in today’s world Learn Like a Girl – aimed at supporting girls to study continuously despite specific challenges School, Pupils and Teachers Support – aimed at offering material support where needed most Sponsor a Child – aimed at offering targeted monthly/yearly support for one of the needy children Dental & Medical Office – aimed at enabling offering medical services for learners and their families Find out how you can support us here: https://youngsteps-kenya.org/get-involved/ Donate 1 EUR/month and support our cause here: https://www.teaming.net/supportmadagoschoolinkenya?lang=en_GB
