Over 1,400 Calgarians under the age of 65 have young-onset dementia. Emerging as early as one's 40s and 50s, it ends careers, shatters lives, and numbs futures.
YouQuest is Canada's first wellness community for active people with young-onset dementia. Located at the Calgary Jewish Community Centre, YouQuest fosters peer relationships and empowers participants to live fully while giving care partners much-needed respite. Imagine days filled with choices: learning a new sport, cooking with friends, or planning a neighbourhood adventure. Days that mean the difference between active living versus sitting isolated, dazed by endless TV or medicated and confined to bed.
A charity, YouQuest's pilot launched in September 2018. Help us help others to find a path of dignity, respect and grace for all!
