YOURmeds is a smart medication management system supporting people to take the right medication at the right time. Worldwide 50% of all medication is not taken as prescribed. For specific conditions such as heart failure, this figure rises to almost 70%, putting the patient at risk and increasing costs. substantially to the NHS.
YOURmeds was built to help our parents take their medication correctly whilst still allowing them to maintain their independence. The technology allows the user to be supported by their support network, so when medication is not taken, is wrongly taken or too many are taken the support network can intervene. We regularly achieve medication adherence of 100% our average is 80%.
We started our journey within the care home market making patient-friendly prescription labels, charts and reports, with the aim of making complex LTC medication regimes easier for carers to understand and manage. Today we have over 20,000 patients using our software, and 7% of the UK care home market use our technology.
We work with Local Authorities to embed YOURmeds into their community service. Our real time data is a great way to check on the cognitive abilities of users and can be an early indication that care packages need to be adjusted due to a change in circumstances. Carers are able to support more people as the medication element of a visit is taken care.
