TACT, the Trans Advocacy & Care Team, is committed to building a world where individuals across the gender spectrum thrive and are celebrated.
A sense of belonging is crucial for wellbeing and thriving. Right now, many trans and non-binary individuals can only find belonging within niche communities and affinity groups. A lack of understanding in many workplaces, schools, healthcare settings, religious communities, and families often causes trans individuals to feel isolated and ostracized. Alienation exacerbates mental health challenges that are already prevalent at higher rates among trans and non-binary individuals than their cis-counterparts.
At TACT, we want to change that. We strive to reduce the experience of isolation and alienation for our trans and non-binary clients through our comprehensive system of support. We offer individual support services, facilitate restorative conversations, and provide training for organizations and communities.
