Since 2014, we’ve championed movement, flexibility, and wellbeing at work. Guided by science and purpose, our mission — to #SitLess and #MoveMore — drives sharper focus, better health, and stronger productivity.
A personal story powers our passion. After losing his father to a heart attack at 17, our founder Gavin Bradley committed to promoting healthier work habits. Supported by Public Health England, we commissioned the first Expert Guidelines on standing and movement — published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine in 2015 — now guiding organisations worldwide: stand or move for at least two hours daily.
Through our Get Britain Standing® campaign, we helped ignite a national shift against sedentary working.
But awareness isn’t enough. Despite wider use of sit-stand desks, 95% aren’t used actively. That’s why we created the SMART Active Desk, powered by the Active Working App — helping users set goals, track movement, and build healthier habits across PC, phone, and smartwatch.
