Zarbio is focused on discovering pathophysiology-based treatments for neurodegeneration. We created an experimental platform to study cellular membrane damage induced by misfolding proteins, such as beta-amyloid, which is a prime suspect in Alzheimer's disease. Our research has allowed us to advance the membrane channel theory of neurodegeneration and find new pharmacological targets for treatment.
