Zecon specializes in the fields of construction, water infrastructure, hospital concession, and integrated property development – and now, renewable energy projects. Having successfully completed more than 40 major projects totalling approximately RM 4.5 billion since public listing in 1997, our landmarks include the new campus for Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), the 74-km Pan Borneo Highway Phase 1 Work Package 3, the 339-meter long Tun Salahudin Bridge in Sarawak, plus the Project Skim Bekalan Air Triang in Negeri Sembilan. In December 2020, Zecon delivered a 243-bed Children’s Specialist Hospital for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HPKK) in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. With a 54-bed hotel and multi-storey car park, the HPKK was developed through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) on a Build, Lease, Maintain and Transfer (BLMT) concept, and includes a 33-year long Hospital Concession with 25 years of Asset & Facility Management Services (FM). Zecon Hotel has been operational since 2022. Currently, Zecon has just announced the Kota Petra Green Technology Park (KPGTP), a tech park powered sustainably by a 300 MW solar farm with 600 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Endorsed with Special Economic Zone status – in line with other tech parks in Malaysia, and also Singapore and Indonesia – KPGTP’s development is expected to bring in investment values of 12 billion MYR, and a direct annual GDP contribution of at least 1.7 billion MYR. A Class A/G7 Contractor, Zecon is a certified Bumiputera-Controlled PLC by MITI registered with PETRONAS, PETROS, SEDA-RPVI (Registered Solar Photovoltaic Investor), plus membership with the MPIA (Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association).
