The vision is an emerging MENA ‘net zero emissions’ energy market including exports to neighboring countries and globally. 🌟 Our Vision: ZETA will be proposing a suitable market framework and transaction tools, including standard contracts, with a view to facilitating climate neutrality in the MENA region and beyond. We expect the creation of markets and the use of market-based mechanisms will help achieve climate neutrality combined with energy security at least cost. ZETA will assist our members in dealing with the transition from just trading fossil fuels and electrons to trading low carbon and renewable energy carriers. 🔥 Our Purpose: ZETA is an initiative launched by Dii Desert Energy with the help of international experts in designing markets in wholesale power and gas, carbon and green certificates. ZETA and prime movers engaging in ZETA may expect to take on the responsibility of combining the forces of traders with producers, suppliers and consumers of energy in the MENA region, so as together to give shape to a new set of markets.
