The ZEV-UP project will propose a zero-emission, user-centric battery electric vehicle for both passengers and goods. The ZEV-UP frugal vehicle concept will be a modular, multi-purpose electric vehicle with a swappable battery to reduce costs and improve energy efficiency. The concept focuses on sustainability, smooth charging and driving experience, and lower operational and maintenance cost. Real-world trials in Budapest and Istanbul will be conducted to ensure user acceptance and assess the vehicle's design and technological innovations.
ZEV-UP started in January 2024 and will run until June 2027. The consortium consists of 17 partners.
