Zydus Brasil

Zydus Brasil is a multinational of the pharmaceutical industry that celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019. Our history began with the former Nikkho do Brasil in a plant in Rio de Janeiro/RJ that for many decades sold prescription medicines to bring health to all Brazilians. The world giant Zydus Cadila arrived in Brazil in 2004 envisioning the potential of the Brazilian market to develop its generic business, but soon realized that there were some opportunities to grow further. In 2007, by acquiring Nikkho and, consequently, founding Zydus Nikkho, the group began to integrate prescription products into its portfolio. In 2019, we identified that it was time to make another big change and bring more characteristics of Brazil to our corporate identity: this way, Zydus Brasil emerged. We are approximately 330 employees throughout Brazil, with 2 offices, one in Rio de Janeiro/RJ and another in São Paulo/SP, a Plant, also in Rio de Janeiro/RJ, and a Distribution Center in Serra/ES. Zydus Brasil is a subsidiary of the Indian company Zydus Cadila. Globally, we have a presence in over 40 countries, more than 20.000 Zydans, and revenues of around USD 1.5 billion. Since 2015, Zydus Cadila has invested heavily in Research & Development to become a recognized research company. Together we are moving to bring more health to Brazilians through our medication portfolio. Zydus Brasil was born dedicated to life and we will work with passion and innovation to create healthier communities.
