Áirc Midlands

Áirc Midlands supports children with additional needs in the Midlands of Ireland. We provide supports and services to their circle of support including family, friends and professionals. Supports may include activities such as yoga, mindfulness, our Penguin Club for sports and physical activities, inclusive horse riding, equine therapy, summer camps, online workshops, carer skills workshops, parties, free play events, parent toddler groups, coffee mornings for carers, support line, advocacy, community representation, emergency respite grants, equipment grants and much more. Our events and activities are fully inclusive and accessible so children are invited to bring friends and family. The only restricted activities are those with extremely limited numbers or those that are therapeutic in nature and specifically intended for persons with an additional need of some type. Our families total almost 1000 and we cover a large area so we fundraise to support that. We are a registered charity (#20106751) and 100% voluntary. We have a committee comprised of family members and those who are passionate allies and advocates. We are currently recruiting for our advisory board and looking for those with lived experience or professionals in the field.
