Every child deserves to enjoy their childhood years and have a joyful and dignified life. However, those rights are not granted to asylum-seeking and status-less children in Israel - these children are transparent, lacking the most basic rights.
Many children suffer from food insecurity, emotional problems, and developmental delays that require a response.
Elifelet – Citizens for Refugee Children is a grassroots a-political NGO dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable asylum-seeking children (0-12) living in Tel Aviv, Israel. Elifelet works to fill the gap between the solutions offered by institutional systems- education, health and welfare and the dire needs of the community with a specific focus on the children's physical, emotional and developmental wellbeing.
