Dactari offers online counselling for people across the UK who have experienced domestic abuse and feel that their mental health has suffered as a result. It can be difficult to choose a therapist from online directories as domestic abuse is often not included within specialisms. Finding the right therapist, one who understands domestic abuse and has experience of what can happen in abusive relationships or families, can help you to talk through what happened and resolve troubling memories or changes to how you see yourself since the abuse. We are a group of counsellors who are fully qualified, registered members with BACP, with specialist training in working with domestic abuse and more than a years experience of working with domestic abuse clients. Our service is open to anyone in the UK who has experienced domestic abuse, irrespective or gender, sexuality or ethnicity. The service is charged for allowing clients more freedom and flexibility over the number of sessions and the timing of those sessions than free services. The business fully launches in October 2022, but please contact us at info@dactari.co.uk if you have any queries ahead of the launch.
We also offer training to other counsellors and mental health professionals on how to work with people who have experienced domestic abuse, and supervision services for people working with domestic abuse survivors, either individually or on a group basis.
