Empowering individuals economically is crucial for achieving independence and self-sufficiency. DEF offers various skills training programs that focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and vocational skills. One of our key initiatives, Twekobe, equips beneficiaries with the knowledge and tools necessary to start and sustain their businesses. By promoting economic empowerment, we help individuals gain confidence and improve their quality of life, ultimately contributing to the well-being of their communities.
Research and Advocacy
DEF is committed to conducting research that sheds light on the specific challenges faced by lesbian, bisexual, and queer womxn, especially those living with disabilities. By collecting data and insights, we aim to inform our advocacy efforts and shape policies that protect and promote the rights of marginalized groups.
