L’Associazione è composta da Consiglieri con background specialistici in politiche sociali e educazione giovanile; i membri dell’associazione hanno anche una grande esperienza nello sviluppo di progetti europei. L’Associazione lavora con una metodologia specifica, i giovani coinvolti provengono da piccole comunità dove le opportunità sociali e culturali sono poche. Inoltre essa intrattiene molte collaborazioni con associazioni culturali, artistiche, teatrali e sportive locali e con diversi gruppi di giovani. Negli ultimi anni Young Effect è stata coinvolta in più di 200 progetti internazionali in Europa, Asia e Africa ed è stato promotore in Italia di numerosi progetti internazionali su sviluppo rurale, immigrazione e risoluzione dei conflitti, Neets e imprenditoria sociale, lotta contro l’estremismo, democrazia e sport.
