Non-profit organization that creates the political and public will to end hunger in Utah. Initiated Real Food Rising, a youth development sustainable agriculture program that uses sustainable agriculture to transform the lives of young people and to increase access to healthy food in Salt Lake. -Advocated on the state and federal level to insure low-income.

Austin, TX

A transformational youth development sustainable agriculture program modeled after The Food Project that teaches job and life skills and grows produce on 3.5 acres just outside of downtown Austin and donates the harvest to hunger relief organizations. -Co-created and co-directed a youth development, sustainable agriculture program that empowers teenagers.

Nonprofit writing program modeled after 826 Valencia in San Francisco that provides children and teenagers with opportunities to develop their creative and expository writing skills. ABC connects a diverse population of young writers and learners with a vibrant community of adult volunteers in Austin through free programming. -Worked with board to take.

Boston, MA

Nationally recognized model of engaging young people in personal and social change through sustainable agriculture. Budget of $3.5 million, 3 sites, 30 FT staff with over 3,000 volunteers annually, employs 120 youth annually. Coordinated and implemented year-round programming for 60 urban and suburban teenagers teaching agriculture, diversity awareness.

Austin, TX

A national organization (originally Summerbridge) with regional sites that provides a path to college, starting in middle school, for low-income students who will be first-generation college graduates. -Created and directed academic after-school and summer programming for soon-to-be first generation college students and provided support to their parents on.
