Selected as the Commanding Officer, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines ultimately responsible for missions assigned, the men led, and the material account valued at $95M. Commanded, trained, and deployed an infantry battalion landing team (BLT) of 1200 Marines as the Ground Combat Element of a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) deployed on amphibious ships. Led planning efforts to prepare for three diversely different missions: combat and counterinsurgency operations in Afghanistan, security assistance operations in Iraq, and MEU expeditionary crisis response operations across the full range of military operations.
