Being a Trainee at PwC allows me to develop new skills within the Private Audit team through on-the-job experience, complementing my studies at QUT.The invaluable experience that PwC has brought me through real-world client interactions and problem-solving has established the fundamentals for my future in consultancy.

I am pleased to join the QUT Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) which allows select students to research and invest more than $300,000 in Australian equities. Through this hands-on experience, I analyse market trends, evaluate investment opportunities, and make strategic decisions to drive portfolio performance. The fund collaborates with some of Australia’s largest financial services and superannuation funds, providing unique opportunities to engage with industry professionals who teach, mentor, and offer critical feedback on our investment pitch.This one-year program goes towards my Bachelor's degree while giving me real-world experience.Independence and ethical practices are undertaken as part of the fund.

The College of Excellence is an inclusive community built around the high-achieving students at QUT. Being funded by the university, the student engagement group has the resources to unlock new opportunities for all its members. During my role as one of ten fellows at the College of Excellence, I curate events and manage the brand's socials to enable members to expand their personal and professional networking and development.

I worked within QUT's Event team to help deliver the highly successful Welcome Week at the university's Garden's Point campus. My role consisted of being an on-ground campus support staff member who ensured WH&S standards were being followed, setting up and packing down event equipment, and setting up for large orientation sessions comprising of hundreds of attendees. The whole event took place over four days with over 6500 in-person attendees.

At Bunnings, I had the wonderful experience of being part of the team that opened the new Caboolture Warehouse in January 2023. I was positioned within the in-store merchandising and goods inward teams, where I applied my organisational skills to deliver the best experience to our customers. Some of my tasks included curating the selection and positioning of key 'basket boosters' to increase the average cart value. My contributions helped position the Caboolture warehouse as having a significantly higher average cart value by over 10% compared to the QLD average.A particular highlight during my role at Bunnings was an opportunity to be a part of the national TV ad campaign which aired in November.The business has also been a focus in my QUT studies under the BSB106 - Dynamic Markets unit. This helps me better understand Bunnings' operational and marketing strategies.

While at Drakes, I built a reputation to self-set tasks and operate independently from shift managers by prioritising tasks using my organisational skills. The trust placed within me also tasked me with exercising a duty of care to complete industry-standard paperwork.
