I consider myself a Taxologist, having spent over a decade focusing on how to best use technology to innovate the tax prep and review process. At Friedman & Huey, I am the link between our business, technology, and innovation. During my career at Friedman & Huey, I have been given the opportunity to lead major software implementations that have transformed the way we operate our business. From designing a system for paperless workflow or creating a platform that expanded our virtual family office program to implementing software that can scan and populate tax data, digitize the tax return assembly process, and transform Practice Management, I love seeing my impact on our staff and clients. My biggest strength is being a forward thinker; taking a step back and looking at the entire landscape to make important strategic decisions. As the Senior Manager of our IT Services Department, I bridge the gap between Tax and IT. I manage the firm’s IT operations and communicate regularly with our Executive Committee. At the start of my professional life, I was both an audit and tax associate, but it was finding the connection to technology that made accounting fun again. I love that I get to use my tax and accounting background to provide an innovate approach to our business. Coming to work every day I get to lead a team of people that care deeply about using technology to enhance firm operations and provide excellent client service.
