I started with Orionstone in 2008 as a Maintenance Coordinator, where my core responsibility was to maintain our fleet to delivery maximum uptime for our customers and ensure that Orionstone and our customers’ interests were protected at all times. This role also involved liaising with customers for site repairs/inspections, and ensuring all of their requirements were met.In February 2011, I was promoted to Major Account Manager QLD-NT and this role involves developing and building client relationships and managing the contracts of all equipment whilst machines are on hire.

As the Queensland Sales Manager, it was my role to ensure all work was carried out under the scope of the contract and conducted in a safe and efficient manner. I coordinated all PER site personnel to provide clients with high quality employees to assist in their maintenance schedules. A large part of this was ensuring that all PER employees presented themselves in a professional manner while adhering to all site policies, which I supervised with regular site visits and checks.

I originally started with Emeco as a Field Service Coordinator, organising the mobilisation and demobilisation of machines on various sites and ensuring all machine records were kept up to date and maintained correctly. I was then given the opportunity to be the Project Manager on the Rio Tinto Tarong Coal Project. This involved coordinating and establishing machine set up, maintenance facilities and demobilisation of all Emeco equipment for the Tarong Energy/Rio Tinto test pit at Kunioon. This project was a trial pit 15km outside of Kingaroy where 140 000 tonnes of coal was removed and trialled at the TEC power station to ensure compatibility.Once this project was completed, I came back to Mackay as the Field Service Supervisor to manage Emeco’s fleet maintenance teams. It was my responsibility to ensure that all machines were safe and mechanically sound in condition and that customers received the highest level of ongoing support, both internally and externally.

My initial role at Komatsu was as a workshop and Field Diesel Fitter, where I carried out maintenance and repairs on various Komatsu equipment on and off site. I was also a Team Leader on D475A rebuilds and relief Leading Hand.This then lead to a promotion as a Leading Hand for DMM3 and 730E assemblies, where I supervised the assembly of three drill rigs and eight 730E trucks. This involved ensuring that all safety regulations, costs, timeframes and customer needs were met.I was then promoted again, to Product Support at Peal Downs Mine. While in this role I supported Ingersoll Rand DMM3 drills and Komatsu WA1200-3, D475A and D375A all on site. This involved ensuring maximum availability of the machinery while liaising with production and maintenance to ensure that BMA’s requirements were met.
