Over the years, I realized that the biggest expense in an oil change is the labor, not the oil. It wasn't always this way, but it is today. So, if we can avoid a number of oil changes, not only do we save time, but we save the labor associated each of those oil changes. KaChing!!For example, Amsoil's Signature series oil is guaranteed for 25,000 miles of service. Those who are accustomed to changing oil every 5,000 miles (a good idea with all petroleum products) and drive a lot of miles a year, avoid the labor cost of 4 oil changes (totaling about $88) by switching to Amsoil. Oh Yeah!It's not just cars, trucks and planes that are better protected, however. I was working with one manufacturer who would change their compressor oil every 500 yours (per the product specs).
