The TRIO Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program is a Federal Grant Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education designed to help under-represented students gain access and succeed in Graduate Degrees through rigorous Faculty Mentor supervised research, and publications of findings.Tasks included, but were not limited to the following:Answered phones, filed paperwork and completed other secretarial tasksMaintained confidentiality in all areas of workProduced recruitment materials and monthly newsletters, along with organizing and leading fundraising eventsProcessed transactions and accurately kept recordsProvided behind-the-scenes technical and logistical support during events, such as photography

TRIO Student Support Services is a Federal Grant Funded program via the U.S. Department of Education to encourage underrepresented students within higher education to finish their undergraduate degrees. Duties included the following:Monitored and maintained the welfare of a select group of incoming college freshmen (9-12 students) for an academic yearMaintained documentation of all interactions and strict confidentialityParticipated in student outreach and recruitmentWorked with a team on monthly “Cultural Activities”, events to broaden student experiences while also providing information about resources that are available
