I worked on a team assisting students, professors, and other Information Technology at Purdue (ITaP) employees with finding solutions to various problems dealing with Excel, LON-CAPA, and general course information.When working with professors, I created and edited various courses in LON-CAPA utilizing JavaScript (JS) and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). For both students and professors, I lead and assisted with workshops focused on new technologies that Purdue was offering. These workshops consisted of general information about the technologies as well as training on how professors could use them in and out of their classrooms. When I was not assisting another employee with a task or leading/attending a workshop, I was making sure documentation on the various technologies were up to date.

I assisted my Electrical Computer Engineering (ECE) professor with his ECE 224 course. Tasks consisted of creating homework and lab assignments in LON-CAPA for students to complete in the Fall 2017 school year.LON-CAPA is an e-learning platform that allows students to complete assignments online and provides instant grading. I utilized Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), as well as JavaScript (JS) to create and edit all assignments.

I worked as an Infrastructure intern for Avanade during the summer, completing multiple tasks relating to IT administration and network security over several months. The IT administration tasks consisted of setting up new security implementations for client employees. These security implementations included multi-factor authentication, improved password requirements for devices, and linking devices to the client's domain for Group Policy updates. General tasks included transferring all files from employee laptops to OneDrive, wiping the laptops and completing clean installs of Windows 10, guiding employees through the multi-factor authentication process for their devices, and installing client-required programs and applications. My main role at the client site was a network security role, where I was tasked with implementing Network Security Groups (NSG) in Azure to secure the client's internal network. I wrote Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates using JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) that automatically deployed NSGs to an Azure Resource Group (RG). Separate tasks included creating an ARM template that automatically deployed a SQL Server 2016 virtual machine to the Azure portal, setting up NSGs to restrict traffic to a server getting attacked by spam, and writing several PowerShell scripts. These scripts create a VNet-to-VNet connection within Azure as well as a Point-to-Site connection. The VNet script connects already-existing virtual networks in Azure through a VPN and works for virtual networks under different subscriptions or under the same subscription. The P2S script connects an Azure Web App to a virtual network, generates and exports self-signed x509 certificates, and adds an address pool and a VPN client root certificate to the gateway.During the internship, I met with the client's security team several times to review my work and to gain a better understanding of their internal network configuration.
