I have repeatedly demonstrated that I am a results-driven and detail-oriented financial professional while building a strong track record of success in high-performance accounting and budget analysis roles within the nonprofit sector. I have been continually recognized for playing a key role in achieving operational excellence in all organizational program/project budgeting, financial planning, and accounting to keep finances in line with expectations and revenues. After graduating with my degree in Accounting in 2003, I started out focused in accounting roles with different organizations before joining Pew Charitable Trusts in 2013 where I have been since. The early part of my career was influential in developing my skills in preparation for taking on the greater responsibilities with Pew. As an example, my expertise in MS Excel enabled me to create a new Excel financial recording system while I was with Q-Books & Tax Services that significantly increased overall efficiency while simultaneously reducing heavy workloads.Since joining Pew Charitable Trusts, I have been promoted twice and continued to use my experience and knowledge to make impactful changes that have improved financial/accounting operations. Some highlights include:I helped implement an automated expense module and train our staff on using it while I was the Coordinator, Payment Services that slashed paperwork by 70% and sped up expense reimbursement times by 40%.Since being promoted to Associate Planning & Budget, I received the "Partnership Award" for my outstanding contributions on the US Public Lands project.I also designed a Macro tool that has reduced the time coworkers spend on reporting salary allocations from 4 hours to just 30 minutes.Perhaps my greatest strength I have exhibited throughout my career is my ability to quickly adapt to new environments to add tremendous value to operations.
