Brought on in 2009 to develop a marketing plan, establish and manage international dealer relationships, and to increase sales to Latin America & the Caribbean - an under-served and non-producing sales territory - for an Idaho manufacturer of open-pit mining support equipment. Successfully increased sales within territory by over 500% during first five complete years of employment vs. same period immediately prior to hire. Have developed several of Ground Force Worldwide's (GFW) current top-10 customers, and also closed the largest multi-truck order in 20+ years for the company. Have grown Latin American customer base from two repeat and two one-time customers to 40+ active customers and over 20 new distributor channels in more than 15 countries. During a recent interim period, also managed Ground Force account activity and dealer relationships in southern Africa and SE Asia, achieving first sales into Angola during that time. Have maximized market-development opportunities by exhibiting and participation in more than 30 industry trade shows. Used near-native Spanish skills, basic Portuguese skills and vast cultural understanding on a daily basis to establish and strengthen relationships with customers and dealers throughout the territory. Self-directed, planned and performed all logistics to manage up to two trips per month of predominantly international travel averaging 85 days per year to more than 25 countries and numerous regions within each country.

Recruited and organized several reverse-delegation mission to Idaho for focus sectors of agricultural equipment and mining equipment & services; projects included site visits, presentations and networking events with multiple Idaho companies and foreign buying groups and representatives. Managed numerous, high-profile department projects including Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter’s Mexico Trade Mission (April 2008); also participated as staff member on additional governor and lieutenant governor-led missions to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Increased profitability of department trade show efforts by 50% through successful sales efforts with Idaho companies, a focus on customer service and sound fiscal responsibility. Assisted numerous Idaho company representatives on international trade missions and trade shows by setting appointment schedules, and, in Spanish-speaking countries, as an interpreter. Promoted twice and rewarded with four performance-based raises in less than four years of service.
