I am currently a Digital Integration Specialist supporting schools in the south region of West Ada School District. I have over 20 years of teaching experience at the middle school level. I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Biology degree and my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.As a classroom teacher I worked on implementing the use of technology into my classes to help engage students in taking ownership of their learning, assessing students in formative and summative ways, and having students create projects and products that highlighted their understanding of science. Now I am excited to be part of the Digital Integration Team to assist teachers in using technology in effective and useful ways to help engage and push students to work toward their potential. My desire is to help teachers and students use digital tools to enhance the learning environment rather than the tools becoming an obstacle to the amazing work already being achieved.Outside of work, I enjoy hanging out with my wife (who teaches in West Ada) and two teenage children (they attend a West Ada high school). I play basketball three mornings a week and love the outdoors!
