Helped build, initiate and further develop the Professional Driver Development program. The PDD program is designed to onboard new hire drivers with instructor led training in basic backing maneuvers, HOS, basic safety in close maneuvering and administering backing and driving tests.Assisted in the development and training in the doubles program and qualification training. Also assisted in the development of the slow maneuver course and the doubles course. Was one of the lead instructors in the new hire onboarding process in both classroom and on the driving range. Had a 98% success rate when instructing remedial backing following the failure of a backing test.Successfully managed more than 45 new hire drivers. Getting them from first to last day hiring process, which included getting them through the medical process, completing the instructional videos, teaching the HOS and mobile technology classes and helping to finalize their paperwork when they were fully hired.

Des Moines, Iowa Area

One of two driver/ instructors at the XPO Logistics terminal in Des Moines Iowa ( Formerly the Conway Des Moines terminal). Safety trainer, 12 week driving school instructor and E-Log device lead and driver sales representative. Responsible for on-boarding of new hires to include safety and hazmat training. Instructed five 12 week driving school classes, lead instructor on two. As safety instructor I train drivers and management on yearly OSHA and DOT re-certifications. I also do root cause investigations on accidents and injuries so that the training can fit the violation or accident. As E-log device lead I ensure that our electronic logging system in the trucks is operating correctly and assist drivers with their questions and issues.

Des Moines Terminal, Des Moines Iowa

Qualified instructor of the two week jump start class that the students would get when they finished the driving school at Green Bay. Training students by giving them practical city driving experience. The student then would go out with a training engineer for two weeks to get road experience, then return to us and we would arrange to get them tested for their CDL. Re-trained drivers when they had accidents or logging violations.
