Main responsibilities include working closely with developers to test back end functionality for weekly releases, this often involves API Testing with the use of Postman as well as putting together SQL queries frequently which has expanded my knowledge greatly. Also working on the companies GDS system for the funding approval of the businesses that apply to Capital On Tap and ensuring that all decisioning scenarios are working as expected as well as ensuring new rules are also working as expected.I have managed to expand greatly on automation and have managed to put together various cypress and API tests to help with regression testing.

Be directly involved with the manual and automation testing of various projects associated with merchant lending and be responsible for QA activities within a development team and being involved with regular releases to production. Conduct regression and smoke tests as part of pre-release testing to ensure new projects have no effect on existing websites. Put together test scripts and execute scripts accordingly related to each project.In terms of automation, the role involves knowledge and execution of cypress testing as well as Postman API testing in order to move away from the standard manual approach to testing with a variety of back-end and front-end testing. I have largely improved my skills related to automation throughout the role.

Conduct quality control checks for pre-arrival and ensure there are no errors for the details of all bookings relating to a range of different hotels owned by Jury’s Inn. Also update bookings within the system using Opera to edit details relating to how much should be charged by the company to each customer. I must also contact different hotels and travel agents if details are missing from fax’s received to ensure that each of the bookings are accurately updated on the system so that the right amount is charged to the customer. This allowed me to develop skills to pay attention to detail and ensure that timekeeping is a major factor to take into account. It has also taught me to be independent and understand my role in the company as well as looking for ways in which I can go the extra mile for the company. I have also been able to understand the different functions within the business.
