I’m a completely blind software engineer currently working on accessibility for consumer devices developed by Amazon. I was previously a software engineer in the games industry for more than 18 years. I lost my eyesight in 2018 due to prescription medication poisoning and have been immersed in the world of customer-facing accessibility ever since. In my former roles I’ve been a gaming accessibility engineer, gameplay generalist, an animation engineer, a lead online engineer for emerging hardware platforms, a user interface programmer and a build and systems lead. I have expert knowledge of C++ programming and am fluent with both C and C#. Additionally, I have working knowledge of java and basic Linux administration.I am married to Iliana Limón Romero, the executive sports editor of the Los Angeles Times. We are both from El Paso, Texas and currently reside in El Segundo, CA with our two dachshunds, Atticus and Scout.I am not interested in new opportunities at this time.
