Andrew’s abilities in this position proved successful, as he was the first in the event to obligate funds for an applicant.

DR-4337 Florida, Site Inspector – Mr. Aughenbaugh’s duties included on site damage assessments of the damages claimed by the applicant, followed by preparing the Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD) of the PA grant in Grants Manager. The DDD is based on the photographs, site sketches, measurements and general information collected during Mr. Aughenbaugh’s site visit. Inspections included Collier County parks and County office complex, Punta Gorda City sea walls, and State of Florida Wildlife Management areas roads and culverts.

Office Engineer for the Division D portion of the $2.6 Billion DC Water Clean River’s Long Term Control Plan including the design-build construction of JBAB overflow and diversion structures capturing the flow from the Potomac Outfall Sewers and convey it to the Blue Plains Waste Water Treatment Plant. Mr. Aughenbaugh’s duties included managing the review and processing of submittals, RFIs, applications for payment and schedule updates, coordinating contract turnover as-built record drawings, operation and maintenance manuals and warranties. Mr. Aughenbaugh was responsible for the evaluation of possible change orders including review of Design-Builders estimates, preparation of independent estimates, and the document preparation for change orders and contract allowance payments.

As Project Controls Manager for the Division C & E portion of the $2.6 Billion DC Water Clean River’s Long Term Control Plan, Mr. Aughenbaugh was responsible for properly documenting construction for a 3300 LF Diversion Sewer, 1160 MGD Diversion Structure and 2400 MGD Overflow Structure with EPA Consent Decree mandate and a construction value of $80 million. Andrew’s daily responsibilities included preparing change orders and construction estimates, reviewing project schedule and construction submittals, process shutdowns, coordinating work with the Department of Water Services and other DCWASA groups, Pepco, DCRA, National Park Service and other outside agencies. Mr. Aughenbaugh was responsible for contract closeout. while maintaining the database of construction records in Construction Manager 13.
