Test & Learn team within the End to End Transformation org (Operations); worked closely with product, UX, engineering and business partners to launch new mini-app in Walmart stores; created process maps in Mural; prepared training guides; coordinated with store managers to conduct POC and test of said mini-app; monitored dashboards and KPIs for results, gathered qualitative UX feedback for incorporation in future iterations of mini-app and training guide

Merchant Development Program● Merchandising (Premium Juices): Managed P&L of 5 items (annual sales: ~ $60 million); monitored supply chain of said items; conducted market research and deep dive of sales data to identify opportunities for increased sales through regional optimization; vetted suppliers and negotiated contracts for launch of 3 new regional items; currently working with internal and external stakeholders to launch said new items in club and online● Replenishment: Conducted root cause analysis using large datasets in Excel to identify causes of overstocking of a single item across 500 clubs and their respective supply chains; recommended strategy resulting in shrink reduction of 80%● Merchandise finance planning (toys): Created weekly sell through reports for ~120 items; prepared sales forecasts for 24 items (~$36 million) and presented to VP during line-by-line item review● Digital transformation: Served as project lead to conduct A/B testing of 200+ items with enhanced product description pages (3D & interactive videos); worked cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders (merchants, product managers, and third-party vendor) representing business in 4-in-a-box process; created tracker for monitoring activities’ progress; successfully handed over project leadership to new manager at end of rotation

Dissertation on Islamic law in Pakistan examining the relationship between education, economic thought & legal reasoning- Method: textual analysis across multiple disciplines (religious studies, law, economics, history, social thought, education, etc.) and ethnographic research- Main case study: finance contract law- Key finding: lack of training in social sciences and the absence of input from social scientific research negatively impacts the legal opinions given by Pakistani jurists and their acceptance in Pakistani societyPresented original research on Islamic law & education and Middle Eastern & South Asian studies at 3 international conferences, 4 regional conferences, 1 international workshop, 3 local workshops, and 4 invited talks at local institutions
