I have recently completed my studies in communication design at AUT. I was born and raised on the North Shore of Auckland. I have loved art ever since I first encountered art at primary school. By the age of nine, I had decided that although I loved art, design was way cooler and I knew I wanted a career in that industry. So I have been working towards that ever since. SPECIALISATIONS & INTEREST AREAS:Currently, I’m enjoying playing with colour and texture and am particularly into making 3D visualisations. This is a skill I am currently developing however I also still love to get my hands dirty to make items and design physically. The areas of design that interest me most are packaging and branding, I would love to work in this area after finishing my degree.PAST EXPERIENCE:Prior to AUT I went to Westlake Girls High School which allowed me many opportunities to meet and work with different types of people and gave me the chance to travel and learn about interesting places and subjects. I spent 5 years as a Recreational gymnastics coach at North Harbour Gymnastics and was a competitive gymnast for my whole childhood. This taught me many valuable skills like self-discipline, hard work, determination, leadership, time management and to strive for perfection, which has really shaped me as a person. I have also worked as a Gift wrapper at Shore City Shopping Mall Takapuna for the past 5 years as well as being a part-time graphic designer for Youth Arts New Zealand. Through YANZ I've got to work on some pretty cool projects like designing the creative towers & other assets for the 'Young at Art' event around Auckland during the summer of 2021.
