Advocate for organ and tissue donation through working with hospital staff and meeting with the families of potential donor heroes to maximize and catalyze the donation process. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide continuity of care, communication, and support throughout the donation process. Lead a year-long DEIB project researching and creating a digital library of scholarly articles to educate our organization about the needs and beliefs of various groups of people in times of death who reside in our Donation Service Area.

Serve and learn within a 500+ bed, Level-1 Trauma medical center with specialized focus as the Chaplain in the Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and Intensive Care Units.Function as the Chaplain to the interdisciplinary Trauma Team attending weekly meetings with Trauma Surgeons, Case Managers, and the Kansas City Health Department’s organization Aim-for-Peace. Participate in group and individual learning including lectures, peer-reviewed written and verbal presentations, individual supervision, and personal reflection.
