Hippo ($5B IPO in 2021) is modernizing home insurance through technology.Ran the majority of Hippo's differentiated software platform: web and mobile apps, APIs for partner sites, systems to manage a portfolio of insurance products across ~40 states, and core infrastructure systems such as billing, payments, policy data and internal tooling.Oversaw the launch of Hippo’s insurance services into 5+ additional states (New York, North Carolina and others), leading to 40% YoY revenue growth to $120 million in 2022. Created self-service systems to reduce the time required to apply policy rate changes across Hippo's portfolio of insurance products from 2+ weeks down to under 1 day, a key competitive advantage.Introduced standard processes and systems for a high productivity engineering organization: created standardized interview and recruiting processes, created an engineering career ladder, trained interviewers, organized on-call training for all engineers, created an engineering mentorship program, and ran regular performance evaluations.

Responsible for all tools and APIs used by third-party developers to create conversational apps for the Google Assistant, across 1B+ Assistant-enabled devices: speakers, home appliances, displays, TVs, phones, cars, etc. Led a two-year, ground-up revamp of the Assistant developer tool suite that led to XX% increases in traffic and retention for conversational Assistant apps.2017-2018: Google Technical Infrastructure. Helped build a compute and storage resource management platform used by the majority of Google's fleet, enabling $XX million in resource savings through efficient resource utilization. Won three awards, including a Google-wide award for high-impact performance optimizations.

Founded a real-time multiplayer math and language platform for elementary school children. Hired the first engineers and co-wrote the game engine starting with the first line of code. Grew usage to 100K+ teachers, children and parents in the US and other countries, with 5M+ math and language problems solved on the platform each month.Raised seed funding from the ImagineK12 edtech accelerator (now part of YCombinator).
