My previous work and personal experience, along with my leadership roles give me the opportunity to one day become an experienced writer and editor. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to write something that could change the world. In order to do this I decided to pursue two degrees at the University of Rhode Island; one in English and one in Writing & Rhetoric. Currently, I am an intern in the Writing & Rhetoric office working with Professors and students at the University of Rhode Island to assist with the needs of our major. In addition to this internship I created and currently run the social media account for the Writing & Rhetoric department, broadcasting our major to those all over campus. The experience I am receiving while working here has and will continue to teach me a lot about this profession. My passion for writing, reading, and editing links back to my pre-professional days. Whether it was writing a paper, editing friends and families writings, or doing freelance writing for my school, myself, or my volunteer experience, I have been on the writing path since the start. I wish to further my experience by obtaining an internship that will allow me to further advance in the writing and editing career.
