The Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) engages with multicultural and multifaith groups to identify issues and recommend potential solutions to government, policymakers and community organisations to make public services more inclusive and accessible.As the Community Representative Commissioner, I work with both the VMC and EECV to address current and emerging issues within the ethnic communities and multicultural communities. I also manage wide-ranging community consultations to determine the needs of Victoria’s diverse communities, proactively managing and promoting harmonious community relations and representing the Commission publicly across Government and the community to enable it to fulfil its objectives including actively participating in Commission and community functions and events.

Developing and maintaining Tolutemi Medical’s strategic direction and objectives and overseeing corporate governance including legal and financial accountabilities and risk management.

Worked in partnership with managers and teams across Baptcare to facilitate performance improvement, education and training initiatives in support of the organisation’s strategic and operational plans. Developing framework, session plan and training resources for case management training that address a cultural aspect of care and caregiving. Advising the organisation on best practices in services delivery and reviewing clinical processes, procedures and policies in all Baptcare sites, metropolitan, regional and Tasmania. Delivering education sessions to both residential and community aged care sector of Baptcare on culture and care.

Managed Baptcare’s education portfolio and developed a culturally competent work skills framework to streamline workplace assessment and competency and significantly improve clinical governance outcomes across Australia.

Managed the delivery of clinical education for enrolled nurses including developing training materials and assessment strategies, teaching clinical skills in the classroom and on placement and implementing continuous improvement plans.
