Responsibilities at IOA include, but are not limited to review and discuss market strategies withproducers; prepare accounts for marketing, negotiate and bind appropriate coverages; and interact withproducers and clients to provide support for any and all servicing needs.Regularly interacts with new and existing clients as needed to devise creative solutions to meet clientneeds as to coverage and cost. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on accounts tonegotiate pricing, interview clients, collect and analyze information regarding the client and assist inproduct and pricing determinations.

Marketing

Review and discuss market possibilities and strategies with producers. Market clientsnew and renewal by providing complete submission to company and/or intermediariesunderwriters. Negotiate with underwriters to obtain optimal coverage andpricing. Maintain constant communication with staff regarding daily coverage changes.Inform producer and staff of any market changes to avoid surprise. Prepare and presentproposal with all options and markets approached to producer for presentation.Bind/Order policies base on coverage sold. Update proposal and applications based oncoverage bound. Develop new and nurture current market relationships.

Service, Underwrite middle to large accounts having direct contact with client. Workwith expiration list and note renewal instructions from producer. Market new andrenewal business and obtain quotes including negotiation of coverage/premium with thecarriers. Prepare proposal including coverage and premium comparison. Use ofcompanies' web sites to obtain information regarding their products and their respectiveapplications. Maintain all underwriting information on Sagitta Browser-Window basesystem.

Service, underwrite middle market accounts having direct with the client. Coverage andpremium negotiation with the carriers.

Service mid-sized commercial lines accounts. Underwrite, rate and marketing of new andrenewal policies. Heavy correspondence by phone and mail with clients and insurancecompanies. Supervise assistant staff as well as train new employees.
