Hasnat is currently serving the Political Affairs Section at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh as a ‘Political Specialist’.Hasnat has more than 15 years of professional experiences in the area of political analysis, elections, government policies, human rights and media & communication.Since starting the job at the Embassy in 2015, Hasnat has developed extensive contacts in the political parties, civil society and the government, and has in-depth knowledge of Bangladesh’s political history, electoral system and constitutional bodies such as the Election Commission, the Parliament, the Judicial Systems and also Government Policies. Hasnat also closely watches the South Asian politics, Geo-politics centering Bangladesh and Bangladesh’s external relations with other countries especially with India, China, the USA, the EU and Myanmar. Hasnat previously worked in the media industry for 8 years with a specialisation on News Planning, Reporting and Editing. He worked with Bangladesh's highest circulated newspaper 'Prothom Alo' for five and half years.Hasnat have completed both Graduation and Post-Graduation in "Mass Communication and Journalism" from the University of Dhaka.
