Worked as a mechanical design engineer on commercial and multi-family residential projects, both new builds and renovations. Primarily designed mechanical systems but did some plumbing design as well. Coordinated with other disciplines including architects, interior designers and structural engineers, as well as communicated with owners and contractors. Reviewed change orders, RFIs and submittals, and conducted value engineering reviews and punchlist walkthroughs.

Worked as a student-worker during school semesters. Spent time moving furniture around the shop floor and storage area, took apart computers to protect important information and worked as a cashier and sales associate during monthly public sales.

Worked as an architecture co-op. Field measured historic buildings in OTR and input them into autoCAD. Submitted historic tax credit forms to Ohio Historic Preservation Office for approval. Did preliminary level design work on the historic buildings and helped incorporate new marketing and networking activities into the workplace.

Worked as an MEP co-op, spending most of my time in the plumbing department. Primarily worked on Kroger and Starbucks projects, both new buildings and renovations. Saw projects through from start to finish in both autoCAD and Revit. Coordinated with other MEP disciplines as well as architects, project managers and sub-contractors.

Worked as an architecture co-op. Mostly worked in AutoCAD but did some work in Revit, mostly converting files from AutoCAD. Field measured to create as-built drawings. Did some design work on small renovation projects. Updated finish schedule, door schedule, floor plans and interior elevations for a hotel originally designed by another firm. Worked on archiving old drawings between projects.

Worked as a pre-construction co-op. Primarily worked in ProEst Estimating. Spoke with subcontractors, compared bids to others as well as to our own estimates for accuracy and pricing differences. Spent a month as a site superintendent on a hotel project. Coordinated as project manager for the end stages of our own office renovations. Shadowed architecture department for a short time.
