UF Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere1) Spearheaded "Conversations in the Neighborhood," a multi-year initiative involving over 15 partners, including the City of Gainesville's Office of Equity and Inclusion. This series significantly enhanced engagement between the University of Florida Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere and Gainesville communities, while also reaching an international audience of 16,000 people. 2) Managed the Programs in Public Humanities Grants, funding four innovative projects in Gainesville and surrounding areas. This part of my role involved fostering relationships with potential grant recipients and providing support in the development of their grant proposals.

1) Conducted extensive archival research, examining over 300 records in French, Haitian Creole, and English. These records, sourced from the UF Latin American Collection, Radio Haiti Archive, and Chronicling America Historic American Newspapers, included a diverse range of materials such as paper and electronic documents, audio recordings, photographs, video footage, manuscripts, and oral histories. The purpose of this comprehensive review was to uncover and highlight the often-overlooked narratives of Haitian immigrants in the United States (U.S.). This research aimed to illuminate the connections between U.S. migration policies and systemic racism, presenting these findings to a wider audience to foster a greater understanding of this critical aspect of U.S. history.
