Emily Ackerman, MS, CCC-SLP, MSCS, is a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 13 years of rich experience in patient care and clinical education. Passionate about empowering patients and healthcare professionals, Emily has been instrumental in developing and implementing educational programs for patients, caregivers, and fellow clinicians.Emily is the Director of Faculty Development for the Veterans Health Administration and the Office of Patient-Centered Care consulting partner, TechWerks. In this role, she spearheads the strategic planning, development, and delivery of comprehensive programs aimed at supporting the growth and proficiency of Whole Health Educators and Coordinators.Before her current position, Emily was the Program Manager at the Whole Health Institute, where she played a pivotal role in designing and implementing transformative whole health experiences, courses, and curricula. Her efforts significantly drove Whole Health Transformation at individual and systemic levels, focusing on initiatives in Northwest Arkansas. Drawing from her background as a practicing clinician, Emily understands the importance of patient-centered care and proactive healthcare approaches. She remains deeply committed to working within healthcare systems to lead and facilitate Whole Health transformation initiatives.Emily is honored to be part of this crucial journey towards comprehensive healthcare and looks forward to continuing her impactful work in the field.
