Time of Service August 5, 1975 - January 1, 2007. Thom Crouch is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel who worked fifteen of his thirty two years of military service managing defense acquisition programs prior to his retirement in 2007. He flew six years on the Inner-German Border during the Cold War and actually saw the Berln Wall torn down. From there a job developing future Requirements and Doctrine at Ft. Rucker, AL. Then it was off to the Naval Postgraduate School earning a Master of Science Degree in Systems Acquisition in preparation for work in the RDT&E field. His first assignment, the Test Officer for the “Live-Fire” portion of the AH-64 Apache “D” model and then a year at the Command and General Staff College, Thom was then assigned as the Program Manager for the Test & Evaluation Portion of the RAH-66 Comanch Helicopter. Then came the "pay back" assignment using his knowledge of RDT&E at the Naval Postgraduate as the Army's Senior Faculty member for the final tour of active duty. Injuries incurred from thirty-two years of military service resulted in a Disabled Veteran Rating by the VA.
