• Responsible for the completion of Annual Financial Statements for General Insurance business for local regulatory reporting and liaison with external auditors;• Responsible for completion of Financial Reporting and submission to Group in Switzerland;• Work collaboratively with wider Finance team to ensure deadlines are met;• Month end journals processing, ensure all journals are prepared correctly according to IFRS and AIFRS requirements;• Performing monthly general ledger reconciliation and investigating any reconciliation items in order to ensure integrity of the General Insurance company general ledger.

• Preparation of general purpose and special purpose financial reports including review of disclosures for Accounting Standards and Corporations Act requirements, in particular the impact of any new/amended standards• Extensive experience in reviewing client’s compliance (i.e. review of AFSL, FSL, Prudential Frameworks) and risk management frameworks in a commercial environment• Performed detailed analytics on client engagements to identify key trends and drivers for the purposes of understanding key financial statement balances• Effectively managed key stakeholders relationships on client engagements by delivering on pre-defined expectations. • Acting as primary point of contact with the audit client, identifying and resolving key issues and marking business process improvement recommendations• Reviewed processes, identified potential control or financial risk issues and come up with recommendations to improve the processes and internal controls of the client• Coaching junior team members and reviewing their work
