As a Project Architect, I developed projects from Schematic Design through Construction Documents, working directly with our Principal to produce and present concepts and layouts to clients that demonstrate design intent and function. Primarily designing mission critical projects for the local Northern Virginia counties such as fire stations and police stations, Samaha delivered healthy, cost-effective, energy-efficient designs that meet client's LEED goals.I was responsible for modeling, detailing, and coordinating my own Revit models that were utilized to produce the design and construction documents for each project, coordinating with consulting engineers to improve function and resolve design conflicts. These documents went to Permit and to Bid, and I worked with AHJs and Owners to resolve review comments.As a Project Manager, I led construction progress meetings with clients and contractors through the construction duration, coordinating consultant submittal review and providing architectural review of product data and shop drawings. I performed regular site visits to review construction progress, responded to requests for information, provided modifications, and reviewed cost proposals.
