I've worked in music for 15 years, from running DIY record labels, creating zines, and building websites, to starting my professional career in music PR. I then moved onto a record label and artist management where I spearheaded the release of slowthai's UK number 1 album and two further UK top 10 albums.Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to work with (and continue to do so) a broad spectrum of artists, including Disclosure, slowthai, Jessie Ware, James Blake, Florence + The Machine, The Prodigy, HAIM, Jamie Woon, Skream, Crystal Castles, Bullion, DJ Koze, Django Django, SOHN, and Kindness among others. My Music PR experience specifically focused on online press, from strategising the development of new artists among the burgeoning global blog culture (circa 2008-2013) to establishing artists who went on to achieve critically acclaimed album releases and top 10 chart positions.Moving onto Record Label and Artist Management, I have worked across a broad range of areas, including:• Release strategy and project management: timeline structure and formulation, performance monitoring, promotional team coordination.• Marketing: fanbase development, digital and OOH advertising, creative consultation, Web3.• Streaming: release pitching, artist growth strategy, data analysis, relationship building, marketing and activations.• Live: unique fan activations, consultation on artist touring• Social and digital marketing: TikTok strategy, Discord development, advertising.• Brand partnerships: liaising with brand agents in identifying areas for artist growth and partnerships around specific activations.• Finance: release budgeting from debut single through to album release (across all areas), tour budget review.• Legal: negotiating commercial release terms and preparation of release agreements.I'm passionate about developing artists and their fanbases, forging connections that lead to long-term careers in as many exciting and innovative ways as possible.
