As part of Kindred (now Ocado Intelligent Automation), I worked on the SORT and Grocery Pick robotic product lines. Some projects I have worked on at Kindred include:- robotic control systems- constructing state-machine control architectures- generating and modelling motion trajectories in a ROS2 environment- motion planning and execution- constructing ROS2 nodes- working with ROS2 and MoveIt2- retooling stacks to support new GPUs- integration of sensors, including barcode scanners, CAN-Ethernet gateways, and stereo depth cameras- using Docker containers and Nomad to deploy stacks- creating drivers for depth cameras and other sensors- data analysis to prevent collisions- calibration of sensors and cameras, including hand-eye calibration of 2 cameras located on separate joints- updating logging systems- force sensing for grippers- network analysis- simulation, including in Nvidia Omniverse and proprietary Unity-based simulators

As part of Amazon Robotics, I spearheaded a project with a high degree of ownership to construct a workcell to move and manipulate two robotic arms in parallel. I used a proprietary robotic framework system in C++ and Kotlin to do this. My workcell was able to lift a simulated package 30 cm, helping Amazon prove several design theories along the way. In my project, I developed several new robotic microservices and workflows (often using the SCXML standard for state machine design) that have been used in other Amazon Robotics projects and services. These services included a motion planning system with inverse kinematics as well as a service to simulate a UR-10 robotic arm.

As part of the Blueworks Live team, I used Java, GWT, HTML/CSS and JavaScript to fix defects and implement user stories. I used my knowledge of frontend and backend processes to efficiently develop for Blueworks Live, leading the team with over 200 defects resolved throughout my internship. On the backend, I interfaced with a PostgreSQL database in order to store and retrieve information.Among the things I have worked on were enhancements to one of our marquee features, which is "playing back" processes a user creates in Blueworks Live. As well, I have completed several front- and backend stories as part of my role as a Full-Stack Developer. Furthermore, I designed and implemented an overhaul to our colour schemes in the way Blueworks Live displays business properties.I was quite active in IBM's culture, being part of two hackathons (and finishing within the top 4 of both), as well as the Machine Learning book club, where I learned the basics of TensorFlow and ML.

Using Golang, HTML/CSS, and VueJS, I participated in adding functionality to ProjectBoard (now known as Make:Projects) such as a like system for comments, creating analytics and stats, and participating in community engagement. I was able to use tools such as Docker to create and build localized environments for testing and development. As well, I used my knowledge of SQL to build database queries for tracking statistics such as login time, which I displayed on a new admin dashboard I helped create.
