EB Innovation OfficeHITCH is passionate about helping more people get to work by creating affordable and reliable transportation solutions so that our associate workforce may gain independence and freedom through immediate access to mobility options. Our mission is to help solve for the recurring acute pain of transportation challenges for the low-income population. We believe that by creating a bridge of access to both commercial and community resources, our workforce can more readily clear their own obstacles, resulting in increased income stability through dependability at the workplace.

Design, management, and execution of studies that analyze the travel behavior, societal, and environmental effects of shared mobility services and autonomous vehicles. Authored over a dozen academic reports and book chapters. Analytical methods include quantitative (travel data, geospatial data) and qualitative (surveys, interviews) approaches.

Initiated winning grant proposal and led research project analyzing the operations of a unique peer-to-peer ride-hailing platform called Arcade City in Austin, Texas. Determined key factors for successful operations, governance, and policy/legal approaches for platform cooperatives and authored 100-page report outlining findings and recommendations.

Conducted microsimulations of connected vehicle technology and modeled traffic flows of planned vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) improvements in Palo Alto, CA. Programming tools used included VISSIM and Visual Basic.

Part-time data collection and new hire training for development of place-based mobile applications.

Analyzed planned transportation improvements using the SF-CHAMP activity-based travel demand model, with extensive work on the Geary Blvd Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

Preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for various roadway projects. Extensive use of AutoCAD and Microstation on roadway/highway design projects.
